Open Tuesday to Sunday: From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Closed on Mondays, with last entry typically around 5:30pm — plenty of time to take in the exhibits at a relaxed pace.
Best Times To Visit
The square never closes, but performers, food stalls, and shops mostly run mid-morning to late evening. For the fullest experience, come between 10am and midnight.
How the day unfolds
Morning (8am–11am)
Quietest time on the square. A handful of vendors set up and the Medina's shops slowly open — good for photos without crowds.
Midday (11am–4pm)
Trade picks up: spice and textile stalls, orange-juice carts, and henna artists are all active, alongside the day's heat.
Late afternoon (4pm–7pm)
The square fills in fast as food-stall owners begin wheeling in their carts ahead of dinner service.
Evening (7pm–midnight)
Peak atmosphere. Food stalls, storytellers, musicians, and acrobats are all out, and the square is at its most theatrical.
Late night (midnight–8am)
Activity thins out fast after midnight as vendors pack up for the night — though the square itself never actually closes.
